The soils are mainly lateritic and acidic in nature. Around 95% of soils are red and only 5 % are black alluvium. Nearly 60% of the soils are lateritic in nature. The soil depth is moderately deep (25 cm) to deep (100 cm) in nature. Soils are low in CEC. The pH of the soil ranges from 4.12 to 5.8 with low soluble salt content. The major nutrient status of the soils is varying from low to medium.
